Coming off the long Memorial Day break, Westfield White was not its sharpest on May 30th, falling to Ridge Black by a final score of 11-8. Ridge Black scored six runs in the first, attributable to a few misplays in the field.
However, Westfield White bounced back nicely to play solid baseball the rest of the way. The offense was led by Lucas and Bo, who bomined for 7 or the team’s 12 hits. Graham and Grayson chipped in two hits apiece. However, the team was not able to overcome the early deficit.
Liam started followed by Troy and Nico, who each pitched two strong innings in relief.
